Research Interests
I am a Ph.D. student in the Veterinary Medical Sciences program. I studied the effect of fasting on the progress of inflammatory colorectal cancer in my master’s degree. I also studied the difference between left and right colon cancer patients regarding clinical character and gut microbiota. To continue my research career and study gastrointestinal disease more thoroughly, I got a chance to study and work in the Zhou Lab. Now, I am trying to understand how mitochondrial metabolic changes in innate lymphocytes affect gastrointestinal tissue remodeling and function. Working in the Zhou Lab with plentiful resources and talented people, I am able to apply high-throughput sequencing to my studies, which has allowed me to better understand and find more interesting targets that contribute to disease initiation and progression. Outside of work, I like cooking, running and gardening.
