Research Interests
During my tenure as a PhD student, I mainly investigated the interaction between polysaccharides and innate immune receptors. Based on my results, I was able to propose new mechanisms for the recognition of different polysaccharides by innate immune receptors. I was also interested in the effect of dietary fiber on gut immunology, especially considering its role as a major source of fuel for the gut microbiome. The Zhou lab has substantial experience in exploring the intricacies of innate immune and T cell function, and this provided me with an excellent platform for learning. I hope to continue to study the relationship between the human immune system and our daily diet. In my free time, I like to play basketball and go for nightly runs.
