Nguyen Lab Research Statement
We are the Nguyen Lab
A passionate group of researchers who work on a common goal of understanding the autoimmune process of Sjögren’s disease and developing therapies to treat patients.
Our mission
To give our members a platform for success inside and outside our lab. Some members, we hope, will join us permanently, while for others, this is a stepping stone; in either case, we strive to assist you in achieving your goal.
Our management style
- To give each lab member the support to succeed in their own project.
- We are all on a team and strive to help each other whenever possible.
- Opportunities for all levels of education to be published.
- Any presentation, big or small, at least one of us will be there to support you.
Outside of Lab
Our members’ interests outside of the lab are variable, from hiking to the Hoggetown Faire, from volunteering with animals to visiting museums or playing ping pong; we’d love to hear about your interests and maybe even join in. We try to get together and/or have a potluck several times a year, whether to celebrate a birthday, get a paper/abstract published, get a grant, or spend time together. Sharing food allows us to share our cultures and stories, strengthening our bonds.
