Research Interests

I received my PhD in developmental biology under the guidance of Dr. Wufan Tao and Dr. Yuan Zhuang at Fudan University, China, in 2015. During my diploma thesis at the Institute of Developmental Biology and Molecular Medicine, I focused on investigating the physiological function of protein phosphate 6 (PP6). I showed that PP6 is a critical suppressor of distal, but not proximal, TCR signals. PP6 plays essential roles in the development of both αβ and γδ T cells and its deficiency results in spontaneous T cell activation and depletion of naïve the T cell pool, leading to disruption of T cell homeostasis. In Dr. Zhou’s lab, I currently study the regulation of the regulatory T cells, especially in mucosal tissues.
